In the last quarter of 2024, Nigeria's iOS market saw significant activity among the top photo and video applications. According to Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Instagram maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 43K at the start of October. However, downloads saw a slight decline as the quarter progressed, settling at approximately 29.6K by the end of December. Revenue for Instagram fluctuated, reaching a high of about $4.8K mid-December, while active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 1.5M weekly.

CapCut - Video Editor experienced a notable rise in downloads, especially in December, with numbers jumping to nearly 78K. Revenue also saw a significant increase, peaking at approximately $7.8K in the final week of December. Active user count rose steadily throughout the quarter, reaching about 1.9M by the end of the year.

Snapchat showed a consistent increase in weekly revenue, reaching a peak of around $3.5K at the end of December. Downloads experienced a slight decrease mid-quarter but rebounded to about 39.6K in the week of December 23. Active users grew significantly, rising from approximately 5.3M to 5.8M over the quarter.

YouTube maintained a steady download rate, with weekly figures hovering around 31K to 34K. Revenue was relatively stable, fluctuating slightly but remaining around the $2K mark each week. Active users showed minor fluctuations but remained robust, averaging around 9.7M.

FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor had a significant spike in downloads in mid-November, hitting over 10K in weekly downloads, before stabilizing at around 3.9K by the end of December. Revenue peaked at about $2K just before Christmas, while active users saw an upward trend, reaching over 13K.
